Xclude “Include patents” and “Include quotes”. The search resulted in 1079 hits for sound localization and 670 hits for sound lateralization. These contents had been sorted in descending order of relevance. The 1000 hits on the upper limit displayed in the top rated for sound localization plus the 670 hits for sound lateralization were investigated. Following inspection with the URLs, it was identified that 982 hits for sound localization and 653 hits for sound lateralization have been valid for analysis, just after excluding hyperlinks that displayed a “Not found” or “Not connected” message. These hit numbers have been set as the initial values for screening for this assessment. The screening course of action and the variety of resulting hits are shown in Figure 1. Consequently, nine scientific articles for the assessment of sound localization and five for sound lateralization had been picked up. The 5 articles for sound lateralization, nevertheless, were exactly the same because the nine articles for localization, so these nine articles were selected.
